Changing Adobe software installation drive (dreamweaver cs5)

I'm not sure if this works for other adobe software and version.  But, I was able to successfully install Dreamweaver CS5 and made it work in alternate drive.

If you have experience installing adobe software you probably noticed that you can't change destination drive.  You are stuck to whatever Adobe provides.  This is very inconvenient if you have choice of drive in mind.  However, I found a way to fix this... like I said, I can't guaranty if this works for other adobe software but it worked for me.

Here's the simple version.  Go ahead and install the software and don't mind the destination folder.  Once installed, move the whole folder to desired drive/destination.

Ex:
Adobe forced me to install Dreamweaver in to drive D:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS5
but I wanted it in drive C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS5.

So, here's what I did.  I installed the Dreamweaver in to drive D:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS5 and moved (literally moved) the folder of "Adobe Dreamweaver CS5" to "C:\Program Files\Adobe\" and it worked.

My situation was a bit different but I'm sure there's some one who've gone through something similar so I'm going to share.  You do not have to read below if your issue has been resolved :)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's my situation.  I had the Dreamweaver (DW) installed in to drive D: but my hard drive failed so I had to re-install the DW to C:. When I tried to re-install, Adobe forced me to install to drive D, but I no longer have drive D and there's no way for me to change the destination folder.  I searched around the web to find a fix for it but to no avail I was ready to give up.  But crazy as it sound I did something that no civilized individual would ever do.  I moved the whole dir folder from D to C and it worked.  Here's how I did it.

First, I changed one of my freed drives to drive D by going in to "Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Administrative Tools" and opening "Computer Management".  Under CM, select "Disk Management" under "Storage".  This will bring up current hard drives installed in your computer.  Right click on of the drive that you want to change and choose "Change drive letter and path".  Now select a drive you want under the drop down listing and proceed (its D for my case).  Now you've set the drive letter to your choice, go ahead and install the DW.  Once installation is complete, move the whole "Adobe Dreamweaver CS5" to your choice, preferabably under ..\Program Files\Adobe\. This usually doesnt work because pathing issue but maybe windows 8.1 is capable of this kind of task.
